David Smith, based in Columbus, OH, has been a professional ice sculptor since graduating from culinary school in 2012. He is the owner of Frost Lion Ice Plus, an extreme sculpture company. Throughout his noteworthy career, David has earned over 80 National Ice Carving Association medals and has achieved multiple Top 5 finishes in the World Ice Art Championships (4 Gold). Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for Ice Alaska.

David is a master of his craft, demonstrating undeniable talent and exceptional carving skills across various artistic mediums, such as sand, fruit, and pumpkins. He has showcased his abilities on several Food Network shows including “Halloween Wars” – emerging as the winner of “Halloween Wars: Hayride of Horror”, “Cake Wars: Christmas Challenge”, and “Outrageous Pumpkins”. He is currently competing on “Outrageous Pumpkins All-Stars”, airing September 29 th .

David was also featured on ABC’s “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan.” An ambassador and artist traveling the globe, he has been a part of many international carving events.
