Howdy! As a member of the steering committee for Rollin’ On The River, a family 3K “Walk & Roll” event benefiting STRiVE’s children’s programs, I am writing you today to request your support for this worthwhile event. This is the 9th year for Rollin’ On The River and it is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on the beautiful Riverfront Trail behind the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. Proceeds support the very important work being done by STRiVE to provide services and support to children who have been identified as having developmental delays and disabilities.
Last year, Rollin’ On The River attracted more than 300 participants and raised over $6,000. It is thrilling to see the support for these children in our community! We are hoping to surpass those numbers this year. By supporting Rollin’ On The River, you will be helping educate the public about the importance of early intervention services for children who may have developmental delays in any of 5 areas. Sponsorship levels are attached for you to review.
Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to working with you.
I will give you a call next week to follow up.

Testimony from a family who has benefited from Early Intervention.
When my daughter Phinnley was around 16 months old, I noticed that she was not behaving the way that kids her age typically do. Our concerns for Phinnley began when we noticed that she was not attempting to say any words. I was a first time mother of a 16 month old, and had yet to be called “mama” by my daughter. Our concerns grew when she began being violent by slapping herself, and banging her head into the floors anytime she was upset. She was also extremely anti-social. Phinnley did not enjoy receiving affection from anyone, would segregate herself during play time, and would barely acknowledge our presence as active roles in her daily life. That is when we found Early Intervention. I am proud to say that after only a year of Early Intervention services, Phinnley is now a completely different child. She is now a social butterfly and will engage with anybody who is willing to listen. We have abolished the violent behavior, and she now LOVES giving hugs and kisses any chance she gets! Her therapist was able to teach me the strategies to best help Phinnley learn and communicate. I truly believe that without the support I received from the Early Intervention team, Phinnley would not have progressed into the exuberant, spunky, and resilient child that she is today. The Early Intervention program is something that I will forever be EXTREMELY thankful for.
