Sensory Santa is Coming to the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens!

Join us THIS Saturday, December 15th for Santa from 6-8 pm.

This is the perfect event for families with children with all spectrums of special needs as not every child experiences meeting Santa the same, especially those with developmental disabilities and intellectual delays.

Western Colorado Botanical Gardens & STRiVE is providing an opportunity for families to enjoy a more controlled and welcoming environment to visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus (Great Photo Opportunity).

They have made simple adjustments to reduce sensory stimuli (muted lights, music and waiting to visit Santa at activity tables) to create a calming environment.

Kids really want to come and participate seeing Santa and things, but in some instances they just don’t fit well with the environments where they’re really loud and flashy, like a mall or something like that – says Doug Sorter with STRIVE.

Sensitive Santa will take place THIS Saturday, December 15th for Santa from 6-8 pm at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens.

The event is free.
